⥤ Overview

Our client had purchased a new-build house within an eight-strong development in the Waltham Abbey area and commissioned Align Design and Architecture to design a new outdoor building to the garden area, featuring a kitchen, lounge and fireplace.

⥤ Brief

To create a building that would work well with the architecture and layout of the new-build house and garden, whilst offering the new owners great outdoor living amenities with easy access, including fold-back doors leading into the kitchen, bar and lounge/TV room.

⥤ Challenges

This was a particularly quick turnaround project that needed to incorporate simple but striking design elements, whilst achieving optimal connectivity between the summer house kitchen and the main house. The speed of the project meant final detailing had to be accomplished whilst the project was already on site.
